In a long-awaited move, World of Warcraft (WoW) is set to introduce Taivan, the endearing bakar, as a mount option for players. However, obtaining this beloved creature will demand considerable dedication from fans, as it comes with a slew of challenging requirements.
Taivan, the affable hound-like bakar hailing from the Ohn’ahran Plains, will soon become available as a mount in WoW. This development marks a significant addition to the game’s extensive collection of mounts, addressing the desires of players who have long clamoured for Taivan’s inclusion.
To secure Taivan as a mount, players must undertake a series of arduous tasks within the realm of Dragonflight, as detailed in the upcoming Patch 10.2.6. Central to this endeavour is the attainment of a new meta achievement dubbed ‘A World Awoken.’ However, achieving this accolade demands the completion of a staggering array of prerequisites, including 14 other achievements, each with its own set of challenges.
Among the tasks players must undertake to unlock Taivan are defeating all bosses across three Dragonflight raids, clearing every Dragonflight dungeon on Mythic difficulty, and completing all main and side quests across the seven Dragonflight zones. Additionally, players must delve deep into the lore, finishing stories such as Blue Dragon, Rebel Dragonkin, Tyr’s Guard, Old Hatreds, Innovation, and Whelp Daycare.
Furthermore, the journey to acquire Taivan necessitates players to maximise their reputation with key factions such as Soridormi, Sabellian, Wrathion, and more. They must also earn meta achievements associated with each faction, zone, and world activity within Dragonflight, explore every nook and cranny of the zones, participate in Dragonriding races, and collect every Dragonriding Glyph.
Undoubtedly, the path to obtaining Taivan is a Herculean task, with players expected to earn a total of 130 individual achievements to complete ‘A World Awoken.’ However, there are silver linings amidst the challenge. Some achievements are account-wide, allowing players to make progress across multiple characters. Moreover, the absence of time constraints means that players can pursue this goal at their own pace, spanning potentially several years. Additionally, many of the requisite achievements offer their own rewards, including mounts, Dragonriding mount customisations, cosmetics, and titles, enriching the journey towards acquiring Taivan.
However, Taivan is not the sole attraction in Patch 10.2.6. WoW enthusiasts can also look forward to the introduction of ‘Plunderstorm,’ a new pirate-themed battle royale game mode. In this mode, players will engage in intense battles, looting power-ups and treasure while vying for special cosmetic rewards. Notably, progression within this new game mode remains independent of the main game, allowing players to pursue rewards regardless of their progress in WoW itself.
As WoW continues to evolve, Patch 10.2.6 promises to deliver both excitement and challenges for players. While the journey to unlock Taivan may be daunting, it represents a testament to the dedication and passion of the WoW community. With the addition of Plunderstorm, players can anticipate even more diverse experiences within the expansive world of Azeroth.
